Summiting Elbrus / Eastern peak 5621m / from the north / 9 days:
Day 1.
-Arrival in Mineralnye Vody or in Kislovodsk;
- Accommodation in a hotel in Pyatigorsk or Kislovodsk;
-checking personal equipment;
-free time.
Day 2
Departure from Kislovodsk to the foot of Elbrus (valley of Emmanuel). It takes 5-6 hours;
- acclimatization walk;
- accommodation in the base camp in tents.
Day 3
-Acclimatization tour – taking some equipment and personal belongings to the Northern Shelter 3800 m.a.s.l.;
- descent to the base camp through stone mushrooms;
Overnight in tents.
Day 4
- Ascent to the moraine hut (Northern Shelter, 3800 m);
- Accommodation in a hut or tents at 3800m.
Day 5
-Acclimatization trekking to the Lenz rocks up to the altitude of 4600 m;
-snow-ice exercises, working with equipment;
-Overnight in a hut or tents at 3800m.
Day 6
-Day of rest and preparation for the summit;
-Overnight in a hut or tents at 3800m.
Day 7
- Ascent to the Eastern peak of Elbrus 5621m.a.s.l. / descent to 3800m;
Start to the summit at 1-2 a.m. The duration of the climb is 8-10 hours. The descent time from the top to the camp at 3800m 3 - 4 hours;
-Overnight in a hut or tents at 3800m.
Day 8
-A reserve day in case of bad weather, or a descent to the base camp (valley of Emmanuel).
Day 9
-Morning departure to Kislovodsk.
The guide reserves the right to change the program of the tour, without changing its content (weather, condition of participants).
Personal equipment:
- Crampons (fitted to boots);
- ice ax;
- harness, 4 carbines;
- trekking sticks;
- climbing glasses, degree of protection of at least 4;
- ski mask;
- headlamp, spare batteries;
- a backpack of 65 liters;
- mat;
- sleeping bag with a comfortable temperature of -15 °;
- a flask for drinking;
- thermos 0.5 - 1l;
- mug, spoon, bowl, knife;
- sunscreen;
- personal hygiene items;
- personal medicines.
